Greenhouse Series 2008-

A series of work about Civil War era photos and greenhouses. Apparently after the war Matthew Brady was stuck with a huge collection of war photos on glass that nobody wanted—people were unable to really face the horror of that conflict. To make ends meet Brady sold his glass negatives and positives to local greenhouse makers. The majority of the photos slowly bleached away in the sun. I was captivated by this anecdote.
