Sketch. Omar Alshogre , survivor of Assad’s hellish prisons. Now a courageous voice for the thousands still detained. “We were heaped, sticking to each other, extremely tight, just like pickled cucumbers in a jar. On the seventh day some inmates started to piss and drink their own urine. Intoxication and thirst: detainees perished in tens.” July 25, 2018
Sketch. Mansour Al-Omari. A #Syrian reporter who was imprisoned and tortured by the #Assad regime. He smuggled a piece of cloth with the names of his prisoners written with rust and blood. They cry, ” don’t forget us!” he’s been fighting for their freedom ever since. #Savetherest Marc Nelson July 20, 2018
Sketch. Nabil Sharbaji, a Syrian journalist and peaceful activist. He was imprisoned by the Assad Regime and tortured. At the suggestion of another jailed journalist Mansour Omari, Nabil wrote the names of his fellow detainees in blood and rust on pieces of cloth. Sketch. My friend sent me a photo of a wounded dog in #Daraa #Syria . His paw was torn off by #Assad #Russia bombs. No living, innocent, being is safe in this genocidal hell. #Act4Daraa July 1, 2018
Sketch. #Daraa #Syria abandoned, stranded, bleeding. #Act4Daraa July 1, 2018
Sketch. This is Ahmed, the son of one of my friends. The Assad Regime arrested him while he was at his mother’s funeral. His crime? A song on his cell phone that the government did not like. His punishment? Torture and death in Assad’s prisons. There are currently thousands still being tortured and murdered in Regime prisons. #SaveTheRest June 28, 2018
Sketch. Children murdered in #Daraa #Syria today. As I draw these tiny bodies I can hardly comprehend the utter sadness of their pink shirts, jeans with sweet hearts, and blue soccer jackets. They were loved, cherished, and now they are gone. #Act4Daraa June 28, 2018
