Sketch. Based on photo. Via @Qunfuz1 “Assad’s fascist forces return to Deraa province with mass arrests, torture, field executions and rape. Here’s the ‘let Assad win for the sake of peace’ solution the leftists and rightists wanted.”
Sketch. Based on the testimony of Omar Alshogre, survivor of #Assad ‘s prisons. If a jailer did not meet his monthly death quota, he would execute detainees by injecting air into their carotid artery, causing an embolism. #UnderTorture
Sketch. From the testimony of my friend Mazen alhummada, a survivor of #Assad ‘s prisons: they took my wrists and hung me 40cm off the ground. I thought my arms were tearing off. An officer said: “you’ll see how we make you confess”. #UnderTorture
Sketch. From Omar Alshogre : ”I want to die sir” On this day three years ago, four jailers took me from the dormitory to the execution room, according to what I heard from one of the soldiers, whose voice was filled with hatred of me as a political prisoner and the joy of approaching the time of my execution. They put me in a room with a high-ranking officer, according to what I figured from the way of saluting him. As a prisoner I was always in the position of kneeling as I got used to from Sednaya, so I did not see anything other than the earth. “Do you want to die or move to another prison and do you want to see your mother?” The officer asked. On my way to the officer I knew that I was gonna die so I had to answer, “I want to die sir.” Unusually he asked me, “Why do you want to die, idiot?” I couldn’t answer. I remained silent as I heard death threats until they took me outside the building of the prison and threw me to the ground in kneeling position to do the execution. I was hearing the sound of the friction of the small stones with the shoe of the officer in charge of the operation, as he was walking in front of a row of soldiers and telling me about death. The last thing he said was: load, aim, fire Then time stopped and the fact that the human being doesn’t know how it feels to be dead, I thought I was dead.

Sketch. Omar Alshogre-“I saw myself as a number. When numbering someone, I could see my face in this person. Death was my closest friend in prison”. Hopefully the grisly record keeping will, like Nazis at Nuremberg, be #Assad ‘s undoing. #SaveTheRest
Sketch. Omar Alshogre , survivor of Assad’s hellish prisons. Now a courageous voice for the thousands still detained. “We were heaped, sticking to each other, extremely tight, just like pickled cucumbers in a jar. On the seventh day some inmates started to piss and drink their own urine. Intoxication and thirst: detainees perished in tens.”
Sketch. Mansour Al-Omari. A #Syrian reporter who was imprisoned and tortured by the #Assad regime. He smuggled a piece of cloth with the names of his prisoners written with rust and blood. They cry, ” don’t forget us!” he’s been fighting for their freedom ever since. #Savetherest Marc Nelson
Sketch. Nabil Sharbaji, a Syrian journalist and peaceful activist. He was imprisoned by the Assad Regime and tortured. At the suggestion of another jailed journalist Mansour Omari, Nabil wrote the names of his fellow detainees in blood and rust on pieces of cloth. Mansour bravely smuggled the names out of the prison when he was released. Nabil was killed in detention in Saydnaya military prison in May 3rd ,2015.
