“Missing” (incl. oil, plant based polymer, cyanotype, gouache, charcoal)This painting was inspired by a photograph of the Telegraph Column in Damascus, Syria. After the fall of the Assad regime (Dec. 2024), the photos of tens of thousands of missing men, women, and children, were taped to the column. Weather and time have eroded the photos, yet at least 177,021 people still remain missing.This painting, and other works, will be on display at the MedGlobal Conference October 16-17, Chicago.
